The Justice Party's Call for Criminal Justice ReformThe Justice Party supports:
- Major sentencing reforms, including the elimination of minimum mandatory sentences for non-violent offenders, - The elimination of the death penalty, - A change in focus from punishment to rehabilitation and restorative justice - Alternatives to incarceration for non-violent offenders, - Substance abuse treatment on demand, - Expanded access to mental health treatment instead of incarceration of mentally ill people. |
